Nanoparticles – Cells Interaction: potential use in biomedics Short description of the project: The biomedical application of nanoparticles (NPs) in diagnosis and therapeutics requires the comprehension of the complex net of mechanisms evoked by their administration. Our goal in this project is to describe the initial events of the interaction between cells – tissues and nanoparticles on which depends the hypothetical risk related to their use. We will investigate the NPs cytotoxicity, the NPs mechanism of interaction at cellular and sub cellular/molecular level, with particular interest in the description of the kinetics of the distribution of NPs in the body compartments (extracellular and cellular).
